A Melbourne developer is using superfast broadband offering speeds well beyond the NBN as a drawcard for a major apartment development.
Cheltenham Place, in the sought-after south-eastern suburb of Cheltenham, will boast 126 one-, two- and three-bedroom luxury apartments situated over 9 levels.
Residents will enjoy views of Port Phillip Bay to the west or the Dandenong Ranges to the east. Stand-out features include it being the only apartment building in the area offering residents a gymnasium, private theatre, lobby and boardrooms for private meetings.
Also add to that list of features really, really, fast broadband.
Lightning Broadband recently finalised setup of a 500/500Mbps internet connection for a display suite at the site. The telco has no association with the NBN, instead establishing its own infrastructure to provide fibre-to-the-building (FTTB) services.
"Development of Cheltenham Place is still within the sales phase, and as such installing a Lightning Broadband 500/500Mbps service in the display suite was considered a major value-add by developer Aultun Group," says Lightning Broadband CEO Jeremy Rich. "This has helped Aultun to differentiate Cheltenham Place from other projects and to sell these apartments off the plan."
The display centre is located at 1234 Nepean Highway, Cheltenham, and is also being used to promote remaining apartments at Collins & Bates in Chadstone. Lightning Broadband has previously supported Aultun with superfast internet connectivity at The Clarindale in South Oakleigh and The Imperium in Murrumbeena.
Adding Real Value For Zero Outlay
While various features of a residential building may appeal to some and not to others, fast internet connectivity has become a must-have for many apartment buyers.
When it comes to value-adding, it really doesn't get any better than incorporating Lightning Broadband. Unlike the NBN, the company implements its infrastructure at no cost to the developer - and the same applies for retrofits to existing residential buildings. In either scenario, the company installs a 1Gbps/1Gbps-capable network for future-proofing.
Close to three dozen apartment building projects have been successfully executed by Lightning Broadband since it stormed onto Australia's connectivity scene in 2016. Among other recent developments to be Lightning Broadband enabled are St. Aubins in Caulfield North and The Mercer in Geelong.
In addition to providing fast internet, Lightning Broadband can also implement internal telephony systems, building Wi-Fi, internal networks and technology associated with in-building security and climate control.
