Ultrafast internet provider Lightning Broadband's wholesale business unit has again expanded its connectivity footprint with the acquisition of Melbourne's Space Connect.
Melbourne-headquartered Lynham Networks Pty Ltd, trading as Lightning Broadband and Lightning Wholesale, burst onto Australia's high speed broadband scene in 2016 as one of the first non-NBN providers providing faster internet plans with unlimited data, backed by innovative tech.
The company has delivered more than a hundred significant commercial, estate and apartment building connectivity projects. All are underpinned by Lightning Wholesale's fibre infrastructure, providing rock-solid reliability and symmetrical speeds up to 1,000 Mbps.
Lightning Broadband has thousands of residential customers in developments across four states and the ACT. The Space Connect deal marks Lynham Network's first acquisition of another provider.

Bringing Space Connect Customers Up To Speed
For Space Connect customers, the transition has been seamless. They can continue on their current plans for as long as they choose to. But there are exciting new options in the pipeline.
Lynham Networks CEO Jeremy Rich said Space Connect’s existing network provides speeds of up to 100/100 Mbps.
"In the time ahead, we’ll be upgrading the Space Connect networks so we can deliver our standard symmetrical plans up to 1,000 Mbps upload and download," he stated.
In addition to speedy internet, Lightning Wholesale also provides developers and building owners with the network connectivity they need to enable the smart buildings and fully interconnected communities of tomorrow, with experience in master planned communities, apartments, townhouses, build to rent and retirement living.
