The Mark Making Its Mark With Superfast Broadband

Residents and tenants have begun moving into The Mark - and moving on to truly superfast broadband.

Hacer Group announced last week it had reached Practical Completion of Moniton Pty Ltd's The Mark in Elsternwick, an inner suburb of Melbourne. The works involved the construction of a new mixed-use development including 173 furnished apartments, a Coles Supermarket, Liquorland and a three-level basement car park.

Situated at 441 Glen Huntly Rd and just 12 kilometres from Melbourne's central business district, The Mark's luxuriously appointed apartments are spread across three buildings.

Non-NBN internet service provider Lighting Broadband was chosen to provide connectivity services to the building, establishing its own Fibre-To-The-Building (FTTB) infrastructure for the project. All that residents moving need to do is to connect their compatible router to the Lightning Broadband wall socket already provisioned, choose their plan and they are set to go.

Lightning Broadband FTTB broadband plans offer a choice of speeds of up to an incredible 1,000Mbps per second - and that's download as well as upload. The ISP's customers never have to worry about data limits as all plans have unlimited data.

A Smart Choice For Residents - And Developers

For the end-user, Lightning Broadband presents a great choice - but it was also a wise choice for the building owners. Lightning Broadband installs and maintains its infrastructure at no cost; saving developers of major apartment projects hundreds of thousands of dollars in connection costs compared to the NBN.

"What Lightning Broadband offers developers simply makes good business sense - a superior service that will attract residents and tenants; and for absolutely zero capital outlay," says CEO Jeremy Rich.

The company recently blasted past a significant milestone of 50 buildings Lightning Broadband connected; representing approximately 2,500 apartments in total now able to access the service, and with dozens more projects in its pipeline. The telecommunications company has spread its wings and expanded its reach from its home state of Victoria into Western Australia, the A.C.T and New South Wales, with Queensland also in its sights this year.

The coronavirus situation isn't holding the company back, with Lighting Broadband announcing last week it was "COVID-19 ready".
