As Head of Operations, Poh Meng oversees the design and build of Lightning Broadband’s network and greenfield projects, bringing the nation’s best broadband to new housing estates and commercial developments.
Poh Meng has close to 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Much of this was spent in the development and support of fixed wireless and satellite communications, and more recently with Lightning Broadband – fibre solutions. Poh Meng holds a degree in Computer Science.

WHY DID YOU JOIN LIGHTNING BROADBAND?
I was new to Melbourne and pure serendipity led me to meet Allan (Director) and Jeremy (CEO and co-founder). My skills and experience dovetailed with what Lightning needed and being a smaller company at the time, it would provide a brilliant opportunity to gain exposure to various aspects of the business quickly.

A fantastic variety of work and people, the great company culture and empowerment provided to team members to help continually refine the business for the benefit of all.
WHERE’S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE IN MELBOURNE?
Flagstaff Gardens, one of the gardens I walked past frequently while on the way to site visits. I’m fascinated by the beautifully maintained gardens that create a real sense of serenity on the fringe of the CBD.
